Downloads / Your dreams are downloads from God

What did Jesus mean

If you believe in Jesus and God, then you believe that they can speak to you and through you. They said so themselves in the Bible. This is not a metaphor; it is direct communication. Jesus talks about this. And so does God.

But maybe you don’t believe in Jesus or God.

Perhaps you simply believe in a creator. If this is true, then you believe in something outside of yourself. And if that’s true, then you know someone or something outside of the everyday has power or intelligence outside of what you know. This could include direct communication.

If you believe in a third eye awakening, a higher self, or intuition, then you believe something inside of you can communicate with you.

If you believe in aliens, then, again, you believe something outside of yourself exists, and it, too, has the potential, intelligence, and power to communicate.

If you believe in science, then you believe the brain can communicate with you in various states (the dream state being one). It can send messages, but why the brain does and what the true source of that communication is are the real questions.

This project’s goal is to help you see that certain communication you receive from your brain comes from God.

While God can communicate in a variety of ways, this entry will focus on dreams, and we’re going to refer to them as downloads.

Think of it this way:

Keeping this template in mind, let’s break down dreams as downloads by starting with what Jesus said and how it overlaps with what God did.

Where did Jesus say this

John 14:26

But that comforter which is the holy ghost (whom my Father will send in my name) he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have told you.

Theme: The Holy Ghost is sent by God and it teaches you.

Think of it this way: Jesus is the help bot inside you, and the Holy Ghost consists of software updates and security patches God sends to you. A direct download from the source.

John 16:13

Howbeit when he is come (I mean the spirit of truth) he will lead you into all truth. He shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come.

Theme: When the Holy Spirit comes to you, he will show you the truth. He will not speak of himself, but rather, what he hears from God, and he will use that to teach you things.

Think of it this way: The developer/creator (God) sends updates/patches directly to you. The code is built specifically for you to help you and comes directly from God. This new update is designed to show you things about yourself.

Matthew 16:2–3

…O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the fashion of the sky; and can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Theme: You can tell the weather, but you can’t see the signs right in front of you.

Think of it this way: God sends you updates and patches and you choose to hit “remind me later” or “ignore.”

Examples of God’s communication

1 Samuel 3:9–10

Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

Theme: God spoke to Samuel in his sleep. Samuel thought it was someone else. His dad told him it was God and to answer directly.

Think of it this way: A software update comes to you in your sleep and you don’t know what it is so you ignore it. A secondary source says to stop ignoring it and names exactly what it is (God). The next time the update comes, you’re ready to accept it.

Matthew 1:20–21, 24

While he thus thought, behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying: Joseph the son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife. For that which is conceived in her is of the holy ghost. She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus… And Joseph, as soon as he awoke out of sleep, did as the angel of the Lord bade him, and took his wife unto him.

Theme: God came to Joseph in a dream. In this dream, God gave Joseph a set of commands. When Joseph woke up, he chose to listen to God. This happened to Joseph multiple times.

Think of it this way: Instead of God sending an update, he sends you a direct download with instructions. When you awake, you remember those instructions and apply them to your life.

Daniel 8

…when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face… Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. … And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Theme: God gave Daniel a vision while he was in a deep sleep. When he suddenly awoke out of this deep sleep, he felt sick. Despite this, he followed through with God’s vision.

Think of it this way: God sends you an update with instructions. The update forces you to “turn on” and log that update to your memory instantly. The sudden patch impacts your operating system temporarily.

Where to start

Pay attention to your dreams.

Log them. Analyze them. And understand how or if they apply to your past and present life experiences.

In the morning when you wake up, lay there, on your side, with your eyes closed, and patch together your dream.

As a pro tip, practice waking up without an alarm. A sudden, jarring alarm can startle you out of a dream, making it more difficult to remember.

When you make a habit of remembering and logging your dreams, you’ll likely start to notice patterns. These patterns can hold teaching moments, lessons, and guidance.

This doesn’t always mean waiting until morning. If you wake up in the middle of the night from a dream or even from a nap, get up and log it right then and there. Don’t wait until later. When you wait, you forget.

However, all of this can be difficult if you don’t provide your brain with the proper resources. Work in brain-healthy foods (almonds, salmon, anchovies, dark chocolate, berries) and start taking steps to reduce inhibitors (alcohol, drugs, caffeine, TV).

Feed your brain, so God can use it to access you.

Think of it this way: If your brain is inhibited and malnourished, it’s like an outdated operating system that has too many open windows and security vulnerabilities.

Your dreams will not always be communication from God, so here are a few quick things to remember:

  1. Dreams as downloads won’t be confirmation bias; they probably aren’t going to tell you something that you’ve been waiting to hear. In fact, these dreams typically won’t make much sense at first until you start piecing them together. A family member, friend, or even AI can help you confirm or set aside.
  2. God is never going to send you a vision or instructions that prompts self-harm or harm to others. His goal is to heal and repair, never to harm.

Benefits

You can communicate with God directly. He can use your brain to teach, guide, heal, instruct, and love you.
